British tourists return from Tunisia: 'We heard gunshots'

Thousands of British tourists are heading back to the UK to escape the violence in Tunisia.

British holiday operator Thomas Cook, said Friday it was evacuating 1,800 British and Irish holiday makers from the country.

A state of emergency's been declared after the President fled the country, and a dusk to dawn curfew is in place.

Some of the tourists arriving back at Manchester Airport described scenes of violence and chaos, with gangs of protesters on the streets.
