Police and protesters clash in Trafalgar Square

Police and protesters clashed in central London as several hundred people gathered in Trafalgar Square.

It was the latest incident to overshadow a rally earlier attended by 250,000 people to protest against the government's public spending cuts.

During the day, more than 200 arrests were made and 66 people were injured, including 13 police officers.
