How do you train a rescue dog?

In the aftermath of the Japanese tsunami, specially trained dogs played a crucial role in the search for survivors.

The dogs helped lead search and rescue teams to people trapped in the ruins of buildings, sometimes deep under rubble.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were part of the UK search team that flew out to help. They are currently in the process of training new canine recruits.
