Olympic torch will reach 95% of UK population

In exactly a year the Olympic Torch will arrive in the UK from Greece and begin its tour of the UK before arriving in London for the opening ceremony on 27 July.

The tour will have 74 major stops, with 8,000 torch bearers taking part in the two-month relay.

Lord Coe told the BBC the aim was for 95% of the UK population to be within an hour of the torch at some point during its journey.
