Essex shooting leaves woman and child dead

A double murder inquiry has been launched in Essex after a woman and child were shot dead in Braintree early this morning.

A man who was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds is under police guard, and officers say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
