Prince Philip celebrates his 90th birthday
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II, is celebrating his 90th birthday in London.
In an interview to mark his birthday, he told the BBC's Fiona Bruce that he is "winding down" his workload.
However, he spent part of his birthday hosting a Buckingham Palace event for the Royal National Institute for Deaf People, which is marking its centenary.
Edinburgh Castle marked the milestone with a 21-gun salute, performed by gunners from 40 Regiment Royal Artillery (The Lowland Gunners).
