Trooping the Colour: Queen marks official birthday

The Duke of Cambridge was welcomed with cheers as he rode for the first time in Trooping the Colour to mark the Queen's official birthday.

Prince William rode on horseback for the spectacle at Horse Guards in London.

The Queen arrived in a carriage with the Duke of Edinburgh, who was dressed as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

Members of the Royal Family later gathered on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch a flypast by the RAF.

Nicholas Witchell reports.
