Home care elderly 'not protected' says commission
The basic human rights of older people are being ignored when they are cared for at home, an inquiry by the Equality and Human Rights Commission says.
It is conducting a major inquiry into home care in England.
Baroness Sally Greengross, from the commission has told the BBC that vulnerable, elderly people were not being given adequate time for essential care. Meal times, bathing and basic hygiene were hurried, and carers' hours were often irregular.
