Home care elderly 'not protected'

A major inquiry has strongly criticised the standard of care being given to elderly people at home in England.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission says the length of home visits does not allow basic tasks to be carried out.

Some people are being left in bed for seventeen hours or more between visits, while others are not being washed regularly.
