Bellfield receives life sentence for Milly murder

The convicted killer, Levi Bellfield, has been given a life sentence for murdering the schoolgirl Milly Dowler nine years ago.

Bellfield also faced a charge of attempting to abduct Rachel Cowles, but the judge discharged the jury at the Old Bailey before they had reached a verdict, because of what he called "adverse publicity".
