Earl Spencer 'without doubt' other papers used hacking

Earl Spencer has given his reaction to Rupert and James Murdoch giving evidence to MPs about the phone-hacking scandal.

They appeared before the Commons culture, media and sport select committee along with Rebekah Brooks over alleged criminal behaviour at the News of the World.

The earl, brother of the late Princess Diana, told Newsnight, external he believed other newspapers had acted in a similar way to the News of the World and that he hoped the investigation would eventually bring ''a more responsible press''.
