Libya: UK expels Gaddafi-regime diplomats

Foreign Secretary William Hague has said the UK will recognise the Libyan rebel council as the "sole governmental authority", and has expelled Gaddafi-regime diplomats.

The Libyan charge d'affaires was called to the Foreign Office, to be told he and other diplomats must leave.

The move comes just days after the UK joined France in suggesting that Col Muammar Gaddafi could stay in Libya, if he relinquishes power.

Mike Wooldridge reports.
