Police warm over metal theft's risk to communities

Police forces across the UK say there has been such a sharp increase in metal theft that it poses a very real threat to the country's infrastructure.

Det Ch Insp Tony Bolton told the BBC's Danny Savage that thieves are disrupting the community and may also be putting their own lives in danger.

Police will be conducting special operations this week to target those responsible.
