Svalbard expedition to end following polar bear death
The expedition in Svalbard, in which a 17-year-old boy was killed by a polar bear, is to finish early.
Four survivors of the attack are recovering in Norway after surgery.
Chairman of the British Schools Exploring Society, Edward Watson, said that the tragic death of Horatio Chapple meant that concluding the trip was "the most appropriate decision".
A group of 80 people were on the trip which began on 23 July and was scheduled to run until 28 August.
