May unclear over using Army to dispel disturbances

Home Secretary Theresa May has refused to be drawn on whether the Army should be used to deal with disturbances in England's major cities, saying "the way we police in the UK is by consent".

Speaking on BBC Breakfast, she appeared to suggest that police using "robust tactics" would be enough to quell the disturbances and bring those responsible to justice.
