Reflections on Wootton Bassett repatriations

Four years ago repatriation flights started flying into RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire and to pay tribute, the people of Wootton Bassett lined the streets and fell silent as hearses passed through the town.

Over the years this mark of respect has been repeated, to honour those fallen and to show support for their families.

From the beginning of September flights will move back to RAF Brize Norton, meaning Wootton Bassett's role will come to an end. Jon Kay, looks back over the years.
