Blackpool Tower reopens with a new observation platform

One of Britain's most iconic tourist attractions is being relaunched today, more than a century after it first opened to the public.

Blackpool Tower has been refurbished with a new observation platform at the top.

The council, which bought the tower last year, is working with attractions operator Merlin Entertainments to bring back more visitors - and more income - to the once mighty seaside town.
