Welsh mine rescue: Peter Hain praises rescue workers

Police have confirmed a second miner has died underground in a Swansea Valley colliery as teams continue to work to recover the two remaining trapped men.

Shadow Welsh Secretary Peter Hain said the rescue workers were "driving forward in... a professional and almost superhumanly dedicated way".

He said the community was rallying around the families of those trapped, describing their situation as "traumatic beyond belief".
