School bus in Darlington railway bridge collision
Twelve people were taken to hospital after the roof came off a school bus as it hit a railway bridge in Darlington.
The crash happened at about 08:45 BST on Neasham Road, near the town's football ground, police said.
The yellow double decker bus had been taking pupils to Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in the town.
Most of those hurt had minor injuries but one person suffered a suspected fractured collarbone and another received head injuries.
Insp Ed Turner of Durham Police said an investigation is under way into why the driver took the route under the rail bridge.
