Health Lottery chief defends charitable donation share

A new televised lottery intended to raise £50m a year to tackle health inequalities is to be launched.

The Health Lottery, run by Richard Desmond's Northern & Shell media company, will be shown in adverts on Saturday evenings on ITV and Channel 5.

Some charity leaders have been critical that less will go to good causes than from each National Lottery ticket.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, the Health Lottery's chief executive, Martin Hall, explained how it will work.
