Head fears more school strikes to come

More than 300 schools are fully or partially closed as members of Welsh teaching union Ucac strike over plans to change pensions.

The union, which represents about 5,000 staff, said about 89% of those who took part in a ballot voted for the one-day strike.

Hywel Price, headmaster at Ysgol Gyfun, said that this and other strikes were causing major disruption and voiced fears of more walkouts to come.
