Unions in pension increase legal challenge

A legal challenge to the government's method of increasing public sector pensions has begun in the High Court.

Trade unions say the decision to link increases in pension payments to the Consumer Prices Index instead of the traditionally higher Retail Prices Index will cost individual pensioners thousands of pounds.
