Army cuts memo incorrect, says Philip Hammond
Defence Secretary Philip Hammond says a leaked memo suggesting injured soldiers could lose their jobs is "frankly incorrect".
The document, seen by the Daily Telegraph, suggests wounded personnel would be included in the personnel cuts, which would rise from 12,000 to 16,500.
Mr Hammond told the BBC:
"Anyone who is injured and who is receiving medical treatment will not be considered in any way for... redundancy... until their treatment is complete."
