Ex-footballer Garry Flitcroft addresses Leveson Inquiry

Former footballer Garry Flitcroft has told the Leveson Inquiry into media ethics about the events which led to his father's suicide.

In 2002, the ex-Blackburn Rovers captain lost his attempt to stop the Sunday People naming him in a story alleging he had extra-marital affairs.

Mr Flitcroft said his father stopped watching him play because of ''taunting'' from the football terraces, and killed himself in 2008.
