Cameron under pressure amid economic gloom

With a mass public sector strike on the horizon and youth unemployment at a record high, the prime minister is being forced to defend his economic strategy.

On Thursday David Cameron visited a company that is bucking the trend. Toyota is to create 1,500 new jobs in Derbyshire.

But cases such as this are a rarity, so can his chancellor offer any signs of hope when he unveils his Autumn Statement next Tuesday?
