Thousands show support for Putin on streets of Moscow

Supporters of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin have taken to the streets in Moscow to show their support for him and his United Russia party.

It follows a huge demonstration on Saturday, by protesters calling for fresh parliamentary polls over alleged voting fraud.

Mr Putin's party, United Russia, barely scraped a majority in the elections held earlier this month.

Meanwhile Russian billionaire, Mikhail Prokhorov, says he will contest against Vladimir Putin in the presidential election in March.
