Have the occupy protests captured wider public spirit?

High Court proceedings to remove the tents of anti-capitalist protesters in central London began today.

The Corporation of London says it wants to protect the rights and freedoms of others not the banks.

But the demonstration there has prompted a wider debate about inequality and consumerism.
