PM on surprise visit to troops in Afghanistan

Prime Minister David Cameron is making an unannounced visit to UK troops in Afghanistan.

But due to a dust storm, he was unable to fly to Camp Bastion, the main British base, and has been diverted to the Nato base in Kandahar instead.

He is meeting British Tornado pilots there, who make up some of the 9,500 UK troops currently serving in the country.

The BBC's Carole Walker is travelling with him.
