High winds affect East Coast Main Line services

High winds of over 95 miles per hour are affecting services on the East Coast Main Line.

Passengers travelling north of Newcastle are being advised not to travel.

John Gelson, a spokesman for East Coast Trains, said customers with tickets for today "can travel on any East Coast train tomorrow, without restriction."
