Peter Hill 'did not accuse' McCanns of killing Madeleine

The former editor of the Daily Express has told the Leveson Inquiry into press standards that his paper ran unchecked stories about the hunt for Madeleine McCann.

But Peter Hill told the inquiry that it wasn't he who accused the McCanns of killing their child, it was the Portugese police.

And he said he felt he was now on trial.
