Thames flotilla will mark Queen's Diamond Jubilee
A 1,000-boat flotilla reflecting the UK's maritime heritage will sail down the River Thames in London as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The boats will journey down river from Putney to Tower Bridge on Sunday 3 June.
Pageant master Adrian Evans said the event would include vessels ''of all shapes and sizes''.
At its centre will be the royal barge, decorated in red and gold, carrying the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
Philip Morrell, the owner of the barge chosen for the royal role, described it as ''a great honour''.
