Diamond Jubilee: Queen celebrates 60-year reign

The Queen has said she is "deeply moved" by public support for her Diamond Jubilee as she marks the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne.

She usually passes Accession Day, the day her father died, privately, but this year she has two public engagements on Monday.

The main celebrations will take place in June, but the occasion will be marked by a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park, followed by a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.

Nicholas Witchell reports.
