WWI veteran's 'loo roll' letters deciphered

When the family of a first world war veteran found his memoirs in the attic, written in an old form of shorthand on toilet paper, they were doubtful they would ever get to learn more about his time as a soldier.

Now, with the help of one of the few remaining users of the shorthand, they're being painstakingly translated, revealing details of his experience of war.
