David Cameron: PC Rathband 'an extraordinarily brave man'

The Prime Minister David Cameron, has said he is "desperately sorry" for the family of PC Rathband, after hearing of the death of the man shot and blinded by gunman Raoul Moat.

The body of David Rathband, 44, was found by police at his home in Blyth on Wednesday night after officers received a report of concern for his welfare.

Police said no-one else was being sought in connection with the death.

The prime minister said he was "extremely sad" and paid tribute to "an extraordinarily brave man".
