Olympics: 'Running of Games is worrying'

The organisers of the London Olympics have been criticised over their handling of the budget for the Games.

In their latest report, MPs on the Public Accounts Committee praised the organisers for completing the venues on time and within budget.

But they have raised concerns that the cost of buying land was not included in the original budget of £9.3bn.

Ministers have insisted the money will be recouped when the land is sold.

The committee chairwoman, Margaret Hodge, also suggested the security contract had been badly handled.
