Archbishop Sentamu: Don't change gay marriage law

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, has said that the government should not push ahead with plans to legalise same-sex marriage.

The clergyman opposes gay marriage but supports civil partnerships, which he says have addressed the injustices faced by same-sex couples.

Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show he said: "There's a difference - and people don't these days want to talk about difference... that difference doesn't mean one is better than another, but they're different."
