Hosepipe ban: Household water meters improve awareness

Seven water companies across southern and eastern England are to impose hosepipe bans from 5 April, amid drought conditions.

Water consultant Dr John Rodda, who works with the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in Oxfordshire, says if we could see water meters working in our households it would help with saving water.

He says a lot of the shortage of water is down to a lack of awareness.
