Minute's silence for Hillsborough disaster

A memorial service has been held at Liverpool Football Club, to commemorate the 96 supporters who died in the Hillsborough disaster 23 years ago.

A minute's silence fell at 3.06pm, the exact time the referee blew his whistle to abandon the FA Cup semi final against Nottingham Forest, as the extent of the tragedy became clear.
