Government to hold consultation on donation tax relief plans

The Government has promised to listen to the concerns of charities over its plan to limit tax relief on donations. The Treasury maintains it is unfair that wealthy donors are able to avoid paying tax.

A formal consultation on the plan has been promised in the summer.
