Sir Chris Hoy on how to become an Olympic champion

Sir Chris Hoy has been talking about inspiring young athletes during National School Sport Week.

He said he advised future champions to work as hard as they could, and said it could take a while for a child to start to shine.

He was speaking as the country geared up for the London 2012 Olympics.

Hundreds of people were taking part in a dress rehearsal of the torch relay, running between Leicester to Peterborough, which will test timings, security issues and traffic patterns.
