Victims coming forward will help stop grooming crimes

Nine men found guilty of being part of a child sexual exploitation ring in Greater Manchester are due to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court.

The men, from Rochdale and Oldham, exploited vulnerable teenage girls as young as 13, and were found guilty of offences including rape and conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child.

The police say that to help tackle crimes like grooming, victims should come forward and give evidence.

Chris Buckler has been looking at the background to the case.
