Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk says race part of grooming case

Nine men have been jailed for their part in a child exploitation ring in Greater Manchester.

The men, eight of whom were of Pakistani origin, were found guilty of grooming five white teenage girls, plying them with alcohol and passing them around for sex.

A 59-year-old man who was seen as the gang's ringleader has been sentenced to 19 years in prison.

The police say race was not a key factor in the case but Simon Danczuk, the Labour MP for Rochdale, told BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast that a small minority of Asian men have a view of young white girls which is completely unacceptable.
