New world record for longest taxi trip set in black cab

Three friends have set a world record for completing the longest ever journey by taxi.

The trio arrived in London after driving more than 43,000 miles (69,000km) in their black cab, Hannah.

Paul Archer, Johno Ellison and Leigh Purnell began their journey 15 months ago. On the way one of them was arrested in Iran after camping in an artillery field and another beign deported.

The friends raised £20,000 for the British Red Cross by undertaking the trip, which was originally intended as a London to Sydney expedition.
