Alina Sarag's parents: 'Doctors should take more care'
A coroner has ruled a West Midlands teenager who contracted tuberculosis (TB) died from natural causes and that neglect played a part.
Alina Sarag, 15, died at Birmingham Children's Hospital in January last year, after making nine visits to her GP.
The coroner said it was a "gross failure" on the part of Dr Sharad Pandit, not to refer her for tests to determine whether latent TB had become active.
Alina's father, Sultan Sarag, said he wanted doctors to take ''more responsibility and care with the job they are doing''.
