David Cameron rejects 'snap' decision on banks inquiry

Prime Minister David Cameron has said he will not be pushed to make a "snap" decision about whether or not to order an inquiry into the banking system as a whole.

Earlier, ministers announced an independent review of the workings of the Libor inter-bank lending rate in the wake of the scandal at Barclays.

Labour has called for a full public inquiry in the wider industry.
