Killings 'a bitter blow' for UK troops in Afghanistan
Three British soldiers with the Nato force in Afghanistan have been killed in southern Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The soldiers, two of whom served with the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and one with the Royal Corps of Signals, were killed at a checkpoint in Helmand province by a gunman wearing a police uniform.
The BBC's Caroline Wyatt, who is with British troops in Helmand, said the killings are a bitter blow to the troops who are working closely with the Afghan police force.
