Why has weather become so turbulent?

Residents and businesses have been cleaning up in West Yorkshire after torrential rain caused flash floods in Hebden Bridge yesterday.

Experts say the record downpours are being caused by the high altitude jet stream which drives our weather.

Right now it is unusually far south.
