Sheep filmed swimming to shore in Morecambe Bay
A flock of sheep have been filmed swimming to shore after they were caught out by the rapidly rising tide in a part of Morecambe Bay.
Ian Joseph, who filmed the sheep paddling back, said he had seen them grazing along the shoreline in the morning, but in the afternoon they had moved to the middle of the Leven Estuary, in Cumbria.
He told the BBC: "We could see the tide coming in and it gradually surrounded these sheep... they were literally up to their necks in water in about half an hour."
