TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall backs farmers over milk

The government is being urged to step in to resolve a dispute between dairy farmers and milk processors about the price paid for a litre of milk.

Hundreds of farmers protested at processing plants overnight, arguing that they are being paid less than the cost of production.

TV chef, food writer and campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall called for consumers to support farmers by voting with their feet.
