The London Olympics have been officially closed, and the ceremonial flag handed to the next host city, Rio de Janeiro.
Events were wrapped up with a spectacular pop concert in the main stadium.
The chairman of the organising committee, Lord Coe, told the crowd that the event had been a "wonderful games in a wonderful city".
